Making Fudge

** About the Recipe

The story behind the recipe is simple and we make no exclusive claim on it. My wife and daughter were watching The Food Network and heard about Mamie Eisenhower's Million Dollar Fudge recipe. They looked it up on the Internet, at this is the recipe they found.

We made a triple batch of the fudge, and then instead of following the recipe as is ... we poured it into cookie sheets lined with parchment paper. This made for easy cleanup and served dozens of people at a weekend gathering at our house. There is usually very little mess to clean up, but this time my daughter just had too much fun licking the bowl.

We had never made fudge in our house before, but we found this to be an easy and enjoyable recipe.

Note: We omitted the nuts!
